2020-21
The Woodward Academy volleyball squad captured the Region 3-AAAAA Championship this season with a perfect 7-0 region record.
As the region champion, the War Eagles advanced to the AAAAA State Tournament, hosting Starr’s Mill High School in the first round. The Panthers came in ranked #9 in AAAAA and defeated the War Eagles 3-1 in a close, hard-fought match. While the season ended earlier than the War Eagles would have liked, the future appears bright as the squad competed without a senior on the roster. With a host of returning players, Woodward volleyball should be positioned for another successful season next year.
