The varsity girls tennis team had another exciting and successful season in 2017.

The Lady Eagles finished with an overall record of 15-7 and once again went undefeated in region play. Led by captains Anne Clare Booker and Caroline Yarbrough, the team swept Druid Hills to be crowned Region 4-AAAA Champions.  In the state playoffs, the Tennis Lady Eagles remained unbeaten through the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, they lost a 2-3 heartbreaker in the semifinal round, falling slightly short of their goal of making it to the state finals.  Senior Anne Clare Booker, junior Caroline Yarbrough, sophomore Sarah Lewis, and sophomore Sydney Lopez were named to the 2017 All-Region Team.  The #1 doubles duo of Booker and Lewis had the team’s best match record of 19-3, an astounding accomplishment. It was an outstanding season for the War Eagles, and the future continues to look bright.
