Woodward Academy’s competition cheerleading squad struggled through some mid-season injuries but still performed well in post-season competition this year. The Lady War Eagles traveled to Putnam County in early November, where the squad finished as region 4-AAAA runner-up. The team’s 2nd place finish earned the Lady War Eagles a trip to Columbus, GA for the State Sectional competition. While the team narrowly missed the state finals, the future looks very strong for the Lady War Eagles as the squad returns all but three seniors next season.
