The varsity baseball team made a run in the state playoffs and reached the quarterfinals in 2018.
That final series with Jefferson saw the War Eagles lose the first game 5-4 on a walk-off single in the seventh inning, then win the second game 5-1, before being defeated in the 3rd game 10-5. The War Eagles had a 27-6 record for the 2018 season. The team will graduate only five seniors so the future looks very bright for 2019. The War Eagles had four players who hit .400 or better: Christian Wylder (.469), Ethan Cornelius (.453), Chandler Fulton (.423), and Dwight Allen (.400). Wylder was outstanding on the pitching mound as well, with a 8-0 record and a ERA of 0.834.
