The Lady War Eagle swimming & diving team finished the 2017-18 season with a 2-4 dual meet record and a 12th place finish at the GHSA State Championships.
The team qualified 10 swimmers for the state championships, with senior Alissa Cook turning in the top performance. Alissa, an Ohio State University signee, finished 2nd overall in the 100 breaststroke and set a new school record in placing 3rd in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:06.60. The team also earned a top 10 finish at the annual Metro City Championships, finishing 6th overall and place 2nd at the Atlanta Kickoff Classic.

Danielle Lefevers, Head Coach
A 2008 Woodward graduate who swam for the varsity team while in school, Coach LeFevers attended Furman University for her undergraduate degree, where she was a member of the club swimming team. After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in education, she attended the University of Michigan for her Master of Arts in teaching and learning. While at Michigan, Coach Lefevers swam for a Masters swimming program in Ann Arbor. Coach LeFevers has also worked at Swim Atlanta for several years, in addition to being a part of Swim Atlanta’s Masters swimming team. For the 2015-2016 season, Coach LeFevers served as an assistant coach for Woodward’s varsity girls’ swimming team.
