From the Athletic Director: Spring 2018

Dear War Eagle Fans,

Throughout the fall 2018 season, our student-athletes and coaches for the football, volleyball, softball, cross country, and competition cheerleading teams displayed tremendous heart and dedication to their sports.* In fact, all of our fall teams advanced to compete in the playoffs!

In this issue of War Eagle Watch, we’ve shared team wrap-ups for each of our fall varsity sports. We’ve also featured Q&A’s with senior Cece Ng from our cross country team, who earned the Individual Champion title after a tremendous season, and head volleyball coach Tad Sahara, who led his team to advance to the AAAA state quarterfinals after earning the region championship title.

I am truly grateful to all of you for sharing your talented student-athletes with us here at the Academy. And it is my hope that every one of them is enriched by their athletic experience at Woodward. I wish for you a wonderful holiday season and hope that you will join us as we cheer our teams to victory throughout the winter and spring seasons!

Go War Eagles!

Jose Fernandez, Ed.D., Athletic Director

*At the time of publication, the Clay Target season had not yet concluded. The Clay Target wrap-up will be included in the Winter 2019 edition of War Eagle Watch.
